Restaurant operators look for alternate listing services with more security and features:  Social networking websites provide platform for national dining network.
Orlando, FL –

Since the introduction of content management applications in the late 1990’s, the foodservice industry has turned to the internet for more efficient communication with their stakeholders.  Whether it be e-mail, websites, online ordering or scheduling, the internet has done its share to improve the industry in many ways.  According to Dinersnation.com President Greg Fisher, restaurants in the
USA need to keep up with technology to attract a younger generation of restaurant goers.  According to the National Restaurant Association, 46 percent of adults between the ages of 18 and 34 used the internet to find about restaurants they have not visited before.  By comparison, 33 percent of adults aged 45 to 64 used the internet for the same reason.  As these numbers continue to grow, restaurant operators are realizing that the internet is an important tool that can ultimately improve sales.

It was nearly two years ago when President Greg Fisher came up with the idea for Dinersnation.com.  At the time he was working for a fast-casual restaurant in
Florida that had no internet presence at the time.  The owners were curious about what the internet offered and turned to Greg to help find a cost effective solution.  Greg searched for a service that could help the restaurant, but there was nothing that gave them the control they wanted.  That’s when he realized there was a need for a user-friendly service that let restaurant operators create, add, edit and delete information anytime and anywhere without consent of a third party website administrator.  With the help of business partner Ben Hein, along with students and faculty at the

University of
Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Dinersnation.com was successfully launched on March 2007.

After the first month of operations, Dinersnation.com has received positive responses from restaurant operators nationwide.  Jonna Jones, the owner of Dreamers restaurant in
Marianna, Arkansas, found out about Dinersnation.com through a popular online restaurant forum.  Jonna explains, “I have actually looked at several web providers to provide a website and Dinersnation.com was a godsend.  It is very user friendly and I am even using it to put out a coupon for a buy one get one free appetizer to attract new customers.”  Jonna is one of many restaurant operators that use Dinersnation.com on a weekly basis to update her menus, promotions, pictures, awards and dining information.  While it is true that almost every restaurant may have its own website, who wants to browse through countless locations, web pages and dining guides to find a simple meal? Dinersnation.com provides a single website to browse through the restaurant choices in a certain area, thus creating a very user friendly, easy to use website for consumers.

Dinersnation.com continues to grow as the traffic and membership increases each week.  Some of the other services they offer include website development and design, corporate listing services, graphic and logo design and local, state and national advertising.  New features available in the summer of 2007 include email marketing, reservations and event calendars.  Please visit www.Dinersnation.com for more information about the company or email all inquiries to info@Dinersnation.com.

Restaurant owners and managers a revolution in dining…
April 17, 2007

My partner and I have recently created a great tool for the dining industry, and last night night we ran into some potential competition. This is my account of the whole bit!

Dinersnation: Not a dining guide?

By Ben Hein

Last night my partner and I were browsing through “competition” or “supposed competition” of dining guides with the “largest databases” and the “most extensive profiles.” 18,000 search results in Florida 8,000 results in Georgia another 23,000 results in California. It’s an intimidating sight for two entrepreneurs with the dreams of one day revolutionizing the dining and hospitality industry.

And that’s when it hit me; Dinersnation.com is not a dining guide. A typical “dining guide” is a list of restaurants with an address, a phone number, and if you’re really lucky, maybe a review or a Google map search feature! Besides, what good is a phone number if the line is busy? What good is an address if you’re new in town or just visiting? I think I just accurately described an address book for restaurants! I don’t know what these other sites are bragging about, 411 has the biggest list that I know of.

But Dinernation doesn’t just list restaurants; we answer the questions customers want to know. Open and close times? Got it. Cusine types? Have that too. Pricing guide? Yes, and that’s just the appetizer, because we serve a full course meal when it comes to dining convenience. We have over 40 ways to search for restaurants, bars, clubs and catering services; from our basic search with, the establishment’s name, state, zip code all the to our advanced search features that allows you to customize every search with (as I said) your choice of over 40 specific search features ranging from white table cloths down to food in the kitchen.

Dinersnation can’t claim to be the “biggest database” and who knows if we are the “fastest growing.” We don’t have to claim anything; because our services DO help customers find you and your establishment.

So if you haven’t yet, come check us out; our services are free: www.dinersnation.com or visit www.dinersnation.com/register.php to register your establishment into our national database immediately.
